Richard Hack: Managing Director
Richard is the second generation of the family to own and manage Taurus Logistics. Richard re-joined Taurus Logistics in 2002, with a background in manufacturing, supply chain management, and freight forwarding.
With Richard re-joining the business, it was re-branded, and re-focused on our core strength. Delivering no-nonsense services, and going well beyond the constraints of traditional freight forwarders. If it can be done, then we will find a way to make it happen.
Richard's a father of one, and has a passion for British sports cars, Hi-Fi, and mountain hiking.
Anne Elkington: Customs Broker / Export Operations
Anne has been with us since 1993 (obviously she loves the place!), so knows our business inside out. She's a licensed Customs Broker, and has classified everything from live lobsters to radioactive isotopes.
Anne handles all our customs clearing requirements, and is also responsible for exports. Anne knows who to talk to, to cut through any red tape.
Anne is a keen golfer, and recently took up cycling. She's the proud grandparent of 4 grandchildren and enjoys a good glass of Chardonnay (or two).
Tara Sage: Accounts / Import Operations
Since joining us in 2004, Tara has become used to wearing many hats. Originally employed to manage our accounts, she did that with such success we had to find her more to do.
Tara has a background and qualification in accounting, but these days loves the variety of the different roles she covers. Tara is also a qualified customs broker, so when she's not doing accounts or customs classification, Tara also covers our import operations. Talk about an all rounder!
Tara's passions are her horses, fast European cars, and originally coming from the UK loves the New Zealand lifestyle.
Lisa Cottrell: Import Operations
Lisa joined us in 2006 from the hospitality industry, but with her eagerness to jump in the deep, Lisa took like a duck to water to managing our import operations.
Lisa has a Bachelor of Commerce in supply chain management, and loves to come up with new systems and procedures to keep our customers’ shipments running like a well oiled machine.
When Lisa is not working she's got her hands full looking after her daughter. If she can get that running like our import ops, her book would be a best seller!
Troy Budge: Sales Executive
Troy has just taken on the mantle of our sales role, and has a strong background within logistics.
Starting his career hands on for a Christchurch-based Courier company, Troy handled everything from fleet co-ordination to dispatch and administration, before being offered a sales position for a rival courier company. Now he’s with us!
Troy has a passion for the great outdoors, and is a keen fly fisherman.So if you need to know anything about salmon, or need a quotation, Troy’s the man to talk too.
